Joseph D. Parry
Joseph D. Parry is an associate dean of Undergraduate Education at BYU and director of the BYU Honors Program. He is a former associate dean in the College of Humanities and is a professor of interdisciplinary humanities, with special interests in the European middle ages and renaissance as well as in contemporary philosophical approaches to art, history, and love. He is a graduate of BYU (BA and MA in English) and the University of Utah (PhD in British and American literature). He is serving for the second time as a bishop, this time for a ward with first-year students in Helaman Halls. He is married to Catherine Corman Parry, a former associate professor in the English Department, and they are the parents of a son who has autism.
